Appalachian Flatfoot Dancing
A SME asked me to help develop an online version of their in-person Appalachian Flatfoot Dancing training. This course was designed for learners of all ages and skill levels designed with the premise that anyone is able to learn to dance in this style. My immediate concerns were “how can I make this accessible?” and “how can I conduct meaningful assessments to measure learning?” While the accessibility of the course content was the best that I could make it using UDL and WCAG best practices, the course itself presupposes a level of physical ability that can’t meet all accessibility needs. Likewise, interaction with the course content and participating in evaluation required a baseline level of technical proficiency and access (internet, camera, etc.)

Design Alignment in Course Creation (Articulate Rise)
A short, self-paced elearning course created with Articulate Rise to assist university instructors with improving their courses by revisiting design alignment. I was the solo junior designer on this with a senior ID to review my work. I used the Quality Matters rubric as a guide to structure the specific modules and their topics.
